Message | Malivia Left believes that a well educated nation is best for the future of the economy. Therefore, we think the education age should remain at 21. |
Date | 14:04:19, June 18, 2008 CET | From | Silly Hats Party | To | Debating the Mandatory Education Age |
Message | Why? Surely HIgh School would finish at 18, and as people become adults at 18, surely 18 is an appropriate age to end madatory schooling. Can Malivia Left explain what our citizens would do in schooling until they were 21? |

Message | It gives them time to become fully trained to the doctorate or professional degree level. While in other countries legal ages have been 18, with citizens continuing in school until they were 25-27 in some cases, under the Conservative Coalition we managed to streamline primary and secondary education down to approximately 9 years, which allowed citizens to enter college earlier than they do elsewhere on Terra. It is for that reason we had set the age of adulthood at 16, to recognize our citizens' maturities. As such, we oppose this legislation. |
Date | 06:51:13, June 19, 2008 CET | From | National Labor Party | To | Debating the Mandatory Education Age |
Message | Malivia Left believes that Further Education past High School level is a huge benefit to the economy and society of Malivia, and so the mandatory age should remain at 21. |
