Message | We agree in principle, and would support this if the only people who could be harmed by drugs were the users themselves. However, there are some substances with effects such that another person could be hurt by the actions of someone under the influence of them. We believe that a few very potent drugs should remain illegal. |

Message | "To punish a man because he has committed a crime, or because he is believed, though unjustly, to have committed a crime, is not persecution. To punish a man, because we infer from the nature of some doctrine which he holds, or from the conduct of other persons who hold the same doctrines with him, that he will commit a crime, is persecution, and is, in every case, foolish and wicked." - Thomas B. Macauley If these users harm someone, the punishment will fall on them. But to deny them the right do what they want on their own time just because they may harm someone as a result is unjust. |
