Message | We have questions about this bill: the budget cuts are crippling for head of state and defence and there is no corresponding increase in education or the environment. We support the increase in health and human services but there must be a realistic way to increase support for these important budget lines and reducing excess in a number of budget lines including defence. We'd be interested in working on an alternative proposal with the RGP and the SLP that could gain majority support. Msg me. Regards |

Message | The DCP feels the cuts in defence are too drastic, but we undestand the spirit of the budget (improve health and agriculture). |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
