MessageWe propose this as a new cabinet. I know it looks impossible, but the HoG is from the liberals, and the DNP and CCF had the majority in votes.
See this proposal as an attempt to fraternization.

MessageAs an outsider, I find it odd that you would allocate HoG to the Liberal party, when they're not even close to being the largest party.

MessageAh, but you are wrong my foreign friend! This is how we view the election:

The Athlorcaean Liberal Party is indeed once again the largest party in the land. Athlorcaean Liberal Party (Liberal 33 + Royalist 18) = 51 seats. The Democratic Nationalists Party holds 47 seats and the Christian Communist Front holds 41 seats. It would make sense therefore, that in any coalition government the Head of Government would be of the ALP.

In general, we're happy about this election outcome. The two factions of the ALP picked up nine seats. We've also been restored to the position of Head of State, and intend to use this job to represent our country. The majority of the government has been reduced.

However, we have to admit that the DNP/CCF government has held a majority (the lowest possible) of 88 seats. Our centrist coalition of ALP, Greens and Union Party obtained only 87 seats. In other words, the parliament is split. As the government held its majority, it has the power to maintain its two party coalition. If we were running the DNP, we'd push for more ministers at the expense of the CCF, but doing so isn't our job. On the other hand, we do recognise that there may be problems with a shared executive.

Here's the principles that we propose cabinets on:
-We will always invite parties that supported our People's Representative during the election to join government with us. The ALP is FIRMLY committed to its allies, the Greens and the Union Party. We're not going to join any cabinet that doesn't have them. Doing so would be political treason, even if it'd form a majority.
-The government should have a parliamentary majority, but it should be as small as possible.

Because of these principles, we are lukewarm about a government of national unity, as the greens propose. We're not opposed to the idea, but DNP/CCF have every democratic right to form a government that excludes the People's Representative. I'd remind the greens that we originally favoured an arrangement whereby only the Head of State can propose a cabinet coalition, but we dropped this policy on their request.

If the other parties want a government of national unity, we will join it. If they do not, we'll happily be in opposition for four more years.

MessageYes, and this was the reason why I wanted that every party had the right to propose a cabinet.
After the response of some other parties, I will bring this up to vote.

MessageWe support the analysis made by our liberal wing. As we, I speak only in the name of the royalist wing, are not in a position to make demands as to government posts we are willing to step into this government of national unity, but only if the DNP and CCP agree as they could technically form a government on their own .

MessageUmm, I would rather not. This will never work. We refuse to work with the Liberal. They wish to kill Zombies. We can never work with someone so blood thirsty.

Message"We 'd like to clear up a little point ; the royalist wing of the liberal party voted ultimately no on this proposal ,although it supports the cabinet, for two reasons;

1. We thought the DNP vote (was to be) crucial for the succes of this cabinet, their dismissing it and the probable disapproval of the CCP was understood to be it's downfall.

2. As our Liberal wing proposed another cabinet formation we expected it to be put to a vote and thus preferred ,quite naturally, to support our friends proposal and thus voted no.

Although this vote may seem to create a chasm within the Liberal Party we would like to assure voters and fellow politicians that this is not the case and that we are dealing with a simple misunderstanding"

MessageLord Havisham is correct. Our vote for this cabinet should be read as a sign of support for the green initiative, despite DNP rejection.
