Message | Mr Speaker, Since we produce arms of a superior standard to some other countries, they are somewhat expensive. We can afford them in large numbers: but frankly any opponent who bought our arms to fight against us would put himself at quite a disadvantage, considering the sheer quantity of inferior foreign weapons he could afford with the same capital. If someone wants to make such a foolish gesture, and boost our economy and thus our war chest by doing so, then I say "let him". |
