Bill: Arms Exports Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Her Majesty's Loyal Trade Unionists

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2596

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

The Luthori government should have the discretion to decide which arms exports deals are allowed or not. After all, we don't want to sell weapons to hostile regimes abroad, not to criminals or terrorists...

MessageMr Speaker,

Since we produce arms of a superior standard to some other countries, they are somewhat expensive. We can afford them in large numbers: but frankly any opponent who bought our arms to fight against us would put himself at quite a disadvantage, considering the sheer quantity of inferior foreign weapons he could afford with the same capital.

If someone wants to make such a foolish gesture, and boost our economy and thus our war chest by doing so, then I say "let him".
