| Message | We most certainly support the local sentiment of this legislation - we believe that the majority of political authority over most matters, especially those which do not concern the federal government, should be delegated to local and regional governments. In this regard, we can certainly support Article 2. We do, however, have some reservations about Article 1 - whilst we believe that most laws should be left to local governments, we also believe that beastiality is an act so depraved that even local governments should not have the option of legalizing it. We would prefer that beastiality was outlawed on a national level for this reason. However, Article 1 is undoubtedly an improvement on current policy, and so we will support this legislation as a whole. We commend the local spirit of this legislation. |
