Bill: The "It's okay to ask and tell" Act of 2596
Details
Submitted by[?]: Populist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2597
Description[?]:
This legislation, if passed, would replace the military's "Don't ask, don't tell" policy with one that would allow open homosexuality in the military. Gays have every right to serve in the military and should not have to do so secretly. This legislation was originally introduced by the Brabantic Freedom Party and was defeated in 2593. We hope to take advantage of the changing wind and try and pass this bill. |

Random quote: "If democracy is ever to be threatened, it will not be by revolutionary groups burning government offices and occupying the broadcasting and newspaper offices of the world. It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn |
