Bill: Name Change for Malivia
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Labor Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2599
Description[?]:
As part of the finalisation of all the endless name-changing in Malivia, we wish to finally remove religion from the name of Malivia, and become the Serene Republic of Malivia. With President and Prime Minister changed to Maharaja and Ouparath, a new name for Parliament in the debating stage atm, we think that the formal title of Malivia should be the finale of all the naming reforms at the hands of ML and SDP. This bill will require a 2/3 majority to pass. |

Message | We continue to see no reason to rename the country. Our people are not ashamed to be religious; it has long been a source of strength for the Malivian people. |

Message | We understand that many of our people are dedicated to their religion. We respect that, and we are not at all against that. All we are saying, is that it is our belief that religion should not play a part in the politics of our nation, as not every person is religious. The official title of a nation the only part of the constitution and legislation that has not been changed to separate religion and politics. We wish to change this, and hope to get support from the other parties. |
