Voting deadline: December 3900

Description[?]:

OK, I know I'm no longer active, but it's been over 50 years since the last one, and I still take interest in Kirlawa, so I thought I'd throw out another Census.

Ethnicity:
White North Artanian: 57%
Dundorfian: 20%
Celtic: 16%
Mixed/Other: 7%

Primary Language:
English: 77%
Dundorfian: 15%
Irish 2%
Welsh 6%

Religion:
Christians:
>Protestant: 41%
>Almighty Path: 1%
>Seleyan Catholic: 5%
>Terran Catholic: 2%
>Other: 4%
Total: 53%
Judaism: 11%
Buddhist: 3%
Pagan: 2%
Muslim: 1%
Other: 2%
No Religion: 28%

REASONING
1) Upheaval in Dovani, upheaval in Dundorf, upheaval in Hutori. Kirlawa may have changed its laws recently but it's still internationally recognised as a bit of a melting point so I'd reckon quite a few Welsh, Dundorfians and Hutorians made their way here (the Welsh especially to the protectorate of New Englia on the Dovani coast as safe haven).
2) No real change in religion. Paganism makes a more significant appearance from Welsh migrants. We differentiate between the schisms in the Catholic Church.

MessageBelieve it or not, I composed one of these yesterday, but was waiting until January 2600 (five days from now) to post it. :o

Even more surprisingly, looking through this, the changes look just like mine, with two exceptions.
Mine had a higher percentage for Irish language, and a lower percentage for Jewish religion (the latter being due to emigration to Beiteynu). Everything else looks very similar. :)

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators.

Random quote: "I start with the premise that the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers." - Ralph Nader
