Bill: Local Authority Over Agriculture Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dranland First Party (CC)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2598

Description[?]:

The Reform Party believes that authority over matters that primarily, if not exclusively concern local and regional governments and communities should be delegated to the local governments in question. This will ensure that the policies formed for each region will be more relevant and more responsive to the particular needs of the families and communities within them, who are often neglected by the centralized bureaucracy.

The Reform Party does not recognize the rights of the federal government to undermine local jurisdiction over such issues, which are of most concern to localities. Therefore, we propose that authority over issues of agriculture be left to local governments, without federal government nannying.
