MessageThe Independent Party supports this bill completely. While gun ownership should be the right of every Sekowan, without registration of said firearms, it could quickly pose a threat to the safety of the public. Most notably, dangerous criminals and mentally unstable persons should be limited in what types of firearms they can own, in our opinion.

MessageWhile the Normand Pluralist Party would generally support this bill, it could hinder the actions of the Independent Normand Militia, and as such we shall vote against it.

MessageBecause we assume that this bill would be retroactive, we cannot support. Were it to be otherwise, we could support it. However, under the conditions, we believe that a better solution would be to have classes, which authorize citizens in the use of firearms, rather than licensing the weapons themselves. This way, those who are legal may carry the weapons more easily, and protect themselves from an encroaching government which looms on the horizon.

Anything that would effect your militia would effect my militia and IMF's militia, so I dont make laws that would.

MessageI'm pretty sure our militias can get the guns anyway :)

(might have to have BDI start a small arms line lol)

MessageOOC: I'd be more than happy to make another RP bill about this, if you'd like. :D Or you can, DSP, since I figure you have more thoughts on what you want done with regulation. Either or.

MessageDSP: You clearly do not understand how the INM functions. The INM is discreet. They are not "our" militia; the Normand Pluralist Party does not control the Independent Miltia. We simply try to ensure that their interests are looked after in the political arena. The Normand Pluralist Party actually supports this bill, but as it would hinder the Independent Militia in some of its ways of working, we must vote against.
