MessageWe strongly support this motion - we need to maintain full dominion over all aspects of our economy, and internationally binding agreements are immediately destructive to this. These agreements restrict our domestic laws regarding the economy, thus limiting our sovereignity and self-reliance. They are also damaging to our domestic businesses and industries and job markets.
Dranland should always be a self-reliant and independent country - we should not entangle ourselves in international treaties of any kind, especially those that reduce our full sovereignity over all issues of our nation and damage our domestic markets; we should have full capacity to regulate trade with other countries to give our domestic manufacturers a fair chance at competition with foreign manufacturers. The theories behind free trade rely on abstract economic assumptions, and whilst these measures may sometimes be beneficial to the economy, they also have several extremely negative effects on our country and our people that essenially negate the benefits.

Random fact: Periodically, it is a good idea to go through your nation's Treaties and arrange to withdraw from any that are unwanted.

Random quote: "John Burroughs has stated that experimental study of animals in captivity is absolutely useless. Their character, their habits, their appetites undergo a complete transformation when torn from their soil in field and forest. With human nature caged in a narrow space, whipped daily into submission, how can we speak of its potentialities?" - Emma Goldman
