Bill: AFFS 024.2598 Public Obscenity

Details

Submitted by[?]: Anti-Federalists of Free Sekowo

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2599

Description[?]:

We appreciate the vast differences between the various protectorates within Sekowo, however, we believe that first and foremost, those elements of conduct which can damage the mind at an early age should be banned in public. Thus, we believe that in allowing the local governments to act, we will be better equipped to provide a safe environment for children.

MessageOOC:
They're states now, Protectorate have changed to becoming the thing they are when we first get them, though I suspect we'll only ever use that term 2-3 more times.

MessageWe would support this bill. Local governments more accurately reflect the cultural sensativities of their people, and would be able to enforce public exposure laws that suit the culture locally.

While we believe in personal liberty, public exposure may infringe upon others' personal liberty...

We support.

MessageThere are those (and I defy you to deny this) who take their... alternative lifestyle, and try to push it upon others, shoving it in their faces quite literally.
OOC: Speaking from experience here. It was in a private place, but still, they can push to attack your values as such.
