Message | Missile defense shield just don't exist. I don't know how many more times I have to say this. If it doesn't exist in RL, it doesn't exist in RP. We might as well be talking about building a Death Star or developing telepathic hyper-beam weapons or some other sci-fi crap. The closest thing we have is in RL is an exhaustive network of ground-to-air missile defense. It's ridiculously expensive to build, limited in the area it can defend, and has (at an optimistic estimate) a 2% effectivenes, since it primarily works by firing enough defensive missiles into the air and praying one of them hits the incoming missile. There's also the Star Wars program, but it has never worked despite the countless billions of dollars that's been dumped into it. |
