Message | No, this is slavery by the government. No government has the right to requisition the bodies of young men or women to fight in a war they may not even agree with. We are opposed to slavery, and so we are opposed to conscription under any circumstances. |

Message | This is not slavery, this is meant only for cases of national defence. If the war is upon us, everyone should fight back and protect our homes. Current law does not allow for such a possibility- given that we have one of the weakest militaries in the continent, that would mean only one- tomorrow we can be a province of luthori empire or something. |

Message | If we are attacked, then people should choose to fight, not be forced to. The Labour Party does not object to fighting in self-defence, but it does object to forcing people to fight even in times of self-defence when they do not want to. Life is the most important thing, and we cannot condemn people to death under any circumstances - epecially when the Labour Party has a strong history of anti-militarism, and also many pacifists in its ranks, who we would fully support if ever they refused to fight. |

Message | It's not condemnation to death! This law gives an opportunity to train those citizens military, in times of war. They can choose to go to army even now, but in cases of war, there's no other option than self- defence in trained military and with trained military. |

Message | Nice try :-) We, of course, are ready to negotiate about taxation reform (on the tax proposal page), but will not quit tax increase. As of this proposed law, we really think it is a matter of national security- no one is forced to go to army, but given our security situation and security situation on the continent, it would be very wise (!) for all parties to support this law. Otherwise, we can easily get prepared to Luthori power and Luthori banner. |

Message | We have given our own proposal for taxation increases, and if it can garner RRDF support then we will support this bill. |

Message | Yes. But they don't need to waste peace-time in the army if they don't want to. |
Date | 14:59:36, July 03, 2008 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | We are surprised that that so many parties are supportive of a draft. The Labour Party opposes this, and will encourage as many citizens as possible to avoid this. It is, despite the fancy language, the requisitioning of an individuals body to do the bidding of the state regardless of his or her will. It is a thoroughly illiberal bill, and one thoroughly against the principles of a liberal or social democracy - principles the LCP and RRDF claim to support. |

Message | We don't think it's against social liberal principles. We think that freedom is only limited by freedom of others. When there's war and when the country must defend itself, then there's no "choice", and no "freedom" - your freedom is then limited by the necessity of survival and necessity of maintaining free country, and maintaining personal dignity and liberty connected with the freedom of all nation |
