Bill: NLP: Weapons Production Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Labor Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2602
Description[?]:
The NLP believes that weaponry must be developed in order to secure the safety of Malivian people and interests. If this bill passes, it will currently remain illegal for the Malivian government to use them, so they will only be there as a warning to other nations that we are not to be messed with. Our beliefs on the usage of these weapons will be proposed in a seperate bill, so as to allow the Parliament to maintain illegality of weapon usage should it choose. Message | I would like to raise my insights on this. First, the development of these weapons is a costly action for the nation. Second, modern combat vehicles are of withstanding such kinds of attack. The use of such weapons would cause expensive and high collateral damage to the other nation involving innocent people. Third, it will likely result to counter nuclear attacks and mass public outcry. May I suggest that instead of the development of offensive interventions, we improve our defensive tactics (e.g. Emergency response assistance program, Chemical-biological emergency response team, border security, early detection, etc.). |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
