Message | The members of the military are, in fact, civilians to begin with. So why should we not let the civilian-led government take a part in forming the army? And what if an incident would erupt that is beyond the control of the police force, such as widespread riot and a plot to overthrow the civilian-led democratic government? Are you telling us that it would be okay for you to let the military stay on their headquarters and do nothing about it while the police force struggle to maintain peace and order in the civic society? We don't believe that the military should interfere with police matters. But when things get extremely rough for the police, then we should ask the military for backup. |
