Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 06:12:57, September 26, 2005 CET | From | Coalition for National Strength | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | Article 1 is supported by The Coalition for National Strength if it is passed with concordance with more stringent requirements with citizenship. Article 2 takes too small a step in the right direction; The Coalition for National Strength believes that the military should be more involved with the internal security of the nation. Article 3 is supported by The Coalition for National Strength. |
Date | 06:25:33, September 26, 2005 CET | From | Solentian Corporate Communist Party | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | We can support this measure as proposed. |
Date | 16:56:02, September 26, 2005 CET | From | New Hosengott Party | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | I believe that to have a succesful police force they need to be armed and trained. If we had highly trained and well armed millitary acting as police I think that the crime rate would lower drastiacally. I think that the police force and millitary should be one and the same. |
Date | 17:55:12, September 26, 2005 CET | From | Solentian Corporate Communist Party | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | We agree with the SK Party as well, however we can still accept this measure. |
Date | 18:37:57, September 26, 2005 CET | From | United Centrists | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | We offer the compromise of having a civilian police force that is in place, backed up by the military. |
Date | 01:53:38, September 27, 2005 CET | From | Democratic Progressive Party | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | The DPP would like to see some kind of provision preventing Solentia from becoming a police state. Article 1 and 3 we support though. |
Date | 02:00:04, September 27, 2005 CET | From | Solentian Corporate Communist Party | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | The DPP's fears are unfounded and we re-iterate our support. We are also alright with the United Centrist's compromise. |
Date | 04:04:10, September 27, 2005 CET | From | United Centrists | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | We do not believe that a military-backed police force will lead to a Police State. |
Date | 04:37:17, September 29, 2005 CET | From | Revised Confederate Party | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | We don't see reason to fear military support for our police leading to a Police State either. Sometimes a national crisis or dire situation could leave the best of police forces stretched to the breaking point. We'll just have to keep an eye out to make sure the military's privaledges aren't abused. |
Date | 00:41:09, September 30, 2005 CET | From | New Hosengott Party | To | Debating the Military Reform Act |
Message | I agree with the Revised Confederate Party. As long as the millitary priviliages aren't abused then things could run rather smoothely. |
