Message | So the religious leaders should be free to buy $25,000 golden toilets for their mansions? |
Date | 13:54:46, July 10, 2008 CET | From | Republican Party of Lodamun | To | Debating the Religious Taxation Act |
Message | Anyone should be free to purchase anything. Taxation by moral and religious beliefs is not right. Then we will discourage religion, or in an other way. Say that people should not have that freedom. And, this legislation is not about such, so keep to the subject, would you mind. Current: Recognized religions are not taxed. Proposed: No religions are taxed. Only about letting all religions practice themselves freely, not only the recognized ones. |
Date | 18:24:56, July 10, 2008 CET | From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Religious Taxation Act |
Message | Why do religions make profits? Aren't they all about faith and teaching their principles to others? If they make profits, those profits should be taxed like any other company. What makes them special? |

Message | OOC: SCP, would you mind not mentioning U.S. dollars again unless it is on an OOC like this one. We are in Lodamun, our currency is LOD. Everyone here would appreciate if you stick to our game. |

Message | Because the profits of the religious are based upon non-competitive and other forms of govern. And the Church and sects use the money for good ways, such as helping the poor, the religious leaders will be taxed heavily enough with the income taxes etc. And we in the Progress Party believe that it's not right to charge someone more money because they believe in a certain religion. That's not right. And we encourage religion, as you know. |
Date | 21:49:30, July 10, 2008 CET | From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Religious Taxation Act |
Message | The Liberal Party is changing its vote. We now noticed that the current value is not acceptable. We apologize for our previous vote on this issue. |
