Bill: Foreign Policy

Details

Submitted by[?]: Republican Party of Lodamun

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2605

Description[?]:

Recent reports from EFAMA have declared that we are having problems delivering the money to the right people. And that the Foreign Aid is going to the wrong people, such as dictators.

We therefore believe that the right thing to do, is make it so that only disaster relief is given. In order to secure that we do not support dictators or others.

We will therefore propose:

-Giving diaster relief only, in order to secure the money going to the right people.
-We will propose trade rights, equal and fair ones. In order to secure the wealth of our nation, and to secure a sustainable future for the nations which we help.

-Alan Robertson, EFAMA leader. Deputy Minister on Foreign Affairs.
-The Hawk Institute.

MessageThe solution for these problems is not to cut aid entirely; this would harm both dictators and democracies alike. Instead, we would prefer that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs do it job properly and investigate each nation carefully before dispensing monetary (or indeed any other kind) aid.

MessageIf you were here about 5 years ago. You would understand much better. The Hawk Institute which is a institute working with reports, funded by the Progress Party. Came with a shocking report on where the foreign aid were going, and it was letting dictators get their tanks, just because of our aid. Just recently the Hawk Institute with 'Emergency Foreign Aid Management Agency' (EFAMA) worked out a report concluding with that the proposals which were passed to regulate the money, and where they were going. Has not been working good enough. And therefore we propose this, as people have been dying due to our aid.

MessageReynolds, relax. Don't go that way, it was simple rhetoric. He was not refering to the Foreign Affairs ministry that way, you know that. Don't make problems out of bagatels.

Alan Robertson
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Robertson, I am 80 years old, I know when I see criticism. Criticism is OK if it is not unfounded. The Working Families Party have not been in this country for a long period of time. I would prefer if they simply kept their criticism with them when they have no clue what's going on. I have not created any problems, Mr.Robertson. I know how to conduct myself properly and with respect. I am not replaying because they criticized me, I am replying because they criticized the entire Ministry. We have hard-working, knowledgeable people in the Ministry and they deserve a little bit of respect and decency from everyone in this country.
