Date | 18:21:07, July 14, 2008 CET | From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Respect our Flag |
Message | This is something called patriotism. If you cannot respect your country's flag, you don't deserve to be part of this country. |
Date | 18:36:13, July 14, 2008 CET | From | Republican Party of Lodamun | To | Debating the Respect our Flag |
Message | We are not to force upon Patriotism on the People. Many are not that patriotic, and should never be forced upon that. "The Soldier serves under the Flag, for the Protestors right to burn the Flag" We in the Progress Party respect the flag very much, and are a patriotic party. But this sort of force, overriding Civil Liberties to burn the Flag is not right. |
Date | 19:21:21, July 14, 2008 CET | From | Lodamun Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Respect our Flag |
Message | Patriotism is good, but only as long as our civil liberties are not attacked because of it. |
Date | 22:49:50, July 14, 2008 CET | From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Respect our Flag |
Message | There is no need to burn your own country's flag to get your point across. If you have a problem against the government of your country, you take it with them not with the flag. Burning a flag is like burning every citizen of Lodamun. That flag represents all of us, every single one of us. Protest, letters, recalls, referendums. All of that is available. Burning the flag is just unpatriotic. |
Date | 23:00:52, July 14, 2008 CET | From | Republican Party of Lodamun | To | Debating the Respect our Flag |
Message | If the Liberal Party want's to start regulating every behaviour, go ahead. But then declare yourself as a party which do not respect other opinions. If people feels that it is necessary to burn the Flag in order to get their point across, they should have the right to do this. If we are to start regulating what people can say about our country, we ought to jail a lot of Authors. |
