Bill: Religious Scrutiny Act
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2607
Description[?]:
It is not enough to judge a priest by his or her religion where many taint the names of the deities and forces at work we believe in. Not only should we allow the regions more say in their ministerial selections, but also allow a further degree of character assessment at the international level. |

Message | I am not fully sure if I can agree on article 2 of this bill. mainly because the Imperal party does not believe that the religion of its people is a choice that is to important to be left up to the local government. We do on the other hand support Article 1 of this bill. |

Message | Hmm, we are the opposite of the Imperal Party. The TCP is a supporter of giving for power to local governments. However, even though we think registering with the Foriegn Ministrey is enough, we will vote for this bill, for the time being. |

Message | We share the TCP's commitment to devolution of power to the Crownlands, indeed the HNP was the first Hulstrian party that explicitly endorsed decentralisation, however, we do not think it's wise to devolve matters of religion to the Crownlands. We have a state church that is established nationally, and therefore having five separate policies in the Crownlands on how to deal with it's ministers and the ministers of other faiths will not, in our opinion, be conducive. On the subject of foreign missionaries, we believe that if the current governmental policy is altered, it should be changed to the option that allows the government to selectively approve the missionaries of certain faith groups and reject missionaries that propagate undesirable beliefs. The crisis with the Mormons almost two centuries ago demonstrates why this would be beneficial. |
