Message | Although the HNP agrees with the general purpose of the treaty in question and has always been an advocate for greater integration of Dovani, we feel that this particular treaty infringes on the national sovereignty of Greater Hulstria to an unacceptable extent. We are particularly concerned about the fact that Articles 2 and 5 strip the Imperial Diet of the right to formulate Hulstrian foreign policy and to adequately enforce the inviolability of our national borders. Additionally, the treaty has only been signed and ratified by two other states. The price of retaining the treaty does not, in our view, match the minimal rewards that we gain from it. However, should the Imperial Diet agree with us, we would strongly encourage the Lord Protector, the Staatsminister, and the Foreign Minister to invite both states that have ratified this treaty to also ratify the Greater Hulstria Free Trade Agreement, authored by the HNP nearly two centuries ago. -Frederik van der Westhuizen DM for Korriel East HNP Spokesman on Foreign Affairs |

Message | The Seiki Shi note that only three nations including our own are in the treaty. It is very weak and we find ourselves the catalyst for its collapse. Moral reasons may be countered by the lack of recipients. |
