| We here at the DSP believe that our farming people must be protected from the whims of a cruel market and marketeers. We believe that low-income farming families, in order to be able to support their families, and make a living for themeselves, whilst contributing to Kirlawa, ought to have their operations subsidized. It should not matter what kind of crop you grow, only that you are a human being who needs some help. Low-income farming families must be supported by the state, in order to ensure that we do not end up having a rural aristrocracy who will inevitably set our food prices way too high in their greed. Subsidizing the operations of low-income families benefits all Kirlawans by ensuring the wealthier ones have competitors, ensuring our food prices are kept low. So, let us vote yes to compassion for the poor, yes to a competitive farming market, and no to high food prices. |
