Message | The free market will provide for this. If there are two cans of corn on the shelf, same price, same size, but one has its ingredients listed and a guarentee of safety, and the other does not, it won't sell. There's no need to force the hands. |

Message | And if neither does? Or if the one without food standards is 150% cheaper? Who gets the short end then? Those who can't afford the higher quality good. Maybe the Sons of Liberty are willing to throw away the poor to disease, starvation, and poverty, but the PPP is certainly not. |

Message | What I am saying is that it is just as much a competitive edge to do so as any other competition. There's no reason not to. There is no concievable reason for a company to be discreet about what is in the products, and popular call will entice the companies with its monetary edge. And the PPP needn't lecture me about the poor; I have spent many, many years wondering if I'll make my next rent, and had seen the poverty line far, far above me like the ceiling of a skyscraper. -Judas Mulderrig. |
Date | 13:27:37, July 15, 2008 CET | From | Dranland First Party (CC) | To | Debating the Responsible Government Act: Part I |
Message | We prefer that this policy be delegated to local governments, as in the status quo. We do not feel that it is of national importance. |
Date | 02:50:50, July 16, 2008 CET | From | Progress and Liberty Party | To | Debating the Responsible Government Act: Part I |
Message | We will not support this. If such policy needs to be left in government hands, it should be in the local government's hands, not the national government. |
