Bill: Budget proposal of July 2606

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hete Brorskap

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2607

Description[?]:

Kazulia needs a budget which will re-focus the resources of the treasury upon the nation's priorities. Wasteful spending at the Finance Ministry (which doesn't actually do very much anyway) will be slashed; research investment which is really only a subsidy for big business will be reduced; more funding will be found for education and health; our traditional agricultural sector will be given an enormous filip; and much more money will be spend on preserving and enhancing our natural environment.

MessageTo suggest such a massive cut in funding to the Ministries of Finance, Science/Technology and Trade/Industry will cause massive damage to our economy and leave us unable to compete technologically. It is totally unrealistic to think our country can survive on growing corn and selling package tours.
