Bill: Land Redistribution Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kirlawan National Party (Leftists)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2607
Description[?]:
We here at the DSP believe that having a rural aristrocracy helps breed an oppressive and unfair nation, where certain people own all the land of Kirlawa, and become insanely wealthy. Not only this, but their children are able to inherit this dominance, which means that certain families are able to rule over us forever. This is against the democratic ideals of Kirlawa, of our strong belief, every single one of us, communist to libertarian, that social mobility is vital to our people and society. Social mobility cannot be achieved if certain children inherit humongous amounts of wealth and land, keeping the common man down. So let us say no to the aristrocrats, and yes to social mobility! |
Proposals

Message | We do not agree with this. This is paramount to mandatory eminent domain on any large farm, and a tax on success. |
Date | 02:00:07, July 17, 2008 CET | From | Kirlawan People's Justice Party | To | Debating the Land Redistribution Bill |
Message | Although we disagree with some of the libertarians' claims here, we also don't want some bureaucrat telling a farmer that his family's farm has been declared to be "too large" and seizing part or all of it. |
