Message | I think AFP would like defence, and perhaps we could get Infrastructure and transport? If we don't, we will still support, but the AFP would probably want defence. |
Date | 17:48:53, July 16, 2008 CET | From | Front for Popular Liberation | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | This coalition looks like the best possible to move Kirlawa in the direction of equality and justice. We wholeheartedly support. |
Date | 17:49:14, July 16, 2008 CET | From | Movement for Democratic Change | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | We are indeed offended that not one position was offered to the MDC. We believe we have served this country well, as evidence by the fact that we have been involved in the governement since our creation. |
Date | 18:27:53, July 16, 2008 CET | From | Kirlawan National Party (Leftists) | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | We will support this, and I am sure that the MDC was not wished any offence, it is merely the fact that the parties in the leftist coalition are obliged when they join, to include all the parties in it if possible, and this does not leave room for many other parties. |
Date | 19:03:20, July 16, 2008 CET | From | Liberal Progressive Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | The problem is that we don't want the AFP in defence. We feel putting what is essentially a politicised security company/military organisation in charge of the military would be, to say the least, a bad idea. And we did not include the MDC because 1) there was no real room (remember, nearly every party in this proposal only got one position anyway), 2) there was no need, 3) these Cabinets have to be reasonable and we don't feel that all-party Cabinets are reasonable, nor particularly desirable. Communist-conservative coalitions are not very workable, and that is what this would entail. |
Date | 21:25:51, July 16, 2008 CET | From | Gluaiseacht ShaorĂ¡il DhaonlathachIt | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | Why should the AFP accept such a minor ministry ? The Internal ministry could be a fine alternative. Have them in control of the police and security forces. |
Date | 22:45:39, July 16, 2008 CET | From | Liberal Progressive Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | Perhaps because the AFP is the smallest party in the coalition, and we still don't want what is again a politicised security service in charge of what are supposed to be the non-politicised security services? |
Date | 22:56:00, July 16, 2008 CET | From | Kirlawan National Party (Leftists) | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | We agree with the LPP, an AFP defence ministry might not be a good idea, nor an AFP internal ministry. |
Date | 00:15:36, July 17, 2008 CET | From | Kirlawa Democratic Labour | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | We would support this cabinet |
Date | 01:00:34, July 17, 2008 CET | From | Kirlawan People's Justice Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | A little bit of humor to try to lighten the mood here, and speaking as one of the six: could this cabinet be called "Snow-FPL and the six dwarves"? :) |
Date | 02:40:14, July 17, 2008 CET | From | Movement for Democratic Change | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | The FPL could easily form a more efficient cabinet with not so many parties. I count what, 7 parties. There are only 10 parties to begin with. The more parties included, the less efficient. We would support a cabinet that possibly removed some of the minor parties and involved the DFM. This government is too cumbersome. |
Date | 03:54:03, July 17, 2008 CET | From | Armed Forces Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | wow thanks for the vote of confidence. |
Date | 03:59:59, July 17, 2008 CET | From | Kirlawan National Party (Leftists) | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | For the record, we would still support an AFP defence ministry, if that would mean they would vote in favour of the current cabinet. Either this or include the MDC. |
Date | 04:01:33, July 17, 2008 CET | From | Armed Forces Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | Let it be known we are supporters of any leadership in this county. So to especially the LPP and there what seems to be "Crusade" against the AFP, we know our views, and we will back them by all rightful means. Yes we are pro-military, Yes we do provide efficient security services, and we will not lower our standards and values to impress the likes of your party. Thank You Sgt Maj D F Vinty Sgt Maj of the AFP |

Date | 11:33:48, July 17, 2008 CET | From | Kirlawa Democratic Labour | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2606 |
Message | MDC: It is to do with the fact that generally the whole LC should be included in cabinet agreements, and Party Reality and the AFP would be the best partners to a FPL led coalition |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
