Bill: Constitution of The Solentian Republic

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Progressive Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2118

Description[?]:

I don't think any nation in Terra has done this. We should come up with a constitution which would regulate certain things that we can regulate and such. Like if Article 1 was "There shall be no religion in Solentia", then we could not pass legislation allowing religious schools, or prayer in schools, or churchs. Tell me what everyone thinks.

>>>>>>>The Calling of the Constitutional Convention<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<,

Those who vote yes on this bill are saying that they are willing to host a constitutional convention.

Article One: The Constitution will be a binding agreement to all parties in The Solentian Republic

Article Two: All decisions need 3/4 of the active parties to pass

Article Three: Each active party recieves One vote.

MessageWe should set some inital guidlines.

1. For a bill to pass you must have 3/4 majority (Considering we are disallowing certain bills to be passed)

And I guess that is all.

Does everyone agree with that?

Message3/4 of voting members or of all members?

Also, will we still be using our seats or just parties?

MessageI say we use just parties. It will kind of be like an upper house. What does everyone else think

MessageNot an upper house.

This is just a constitutional convention like the founding fathers did for America. We shouldn't create a second legislative body.

This is just to draft a constitution...

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.
