Bill: Federalism For Social Regulations Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dranland First Party (CC)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2607

Description[?]:

The Reform Party believes that, at present, far too many social issues of local and regional concern are being dealt with at a federal level, when they are not, by any means, appropriate for natonal uniformity.
In order to restore state's rights and allow each state and local government their rightful capacity to determine social regulations on behalf of their own regional communities and families, the Reform Party proposes that the social problems within this legislation be dealt with at a local level. States should have the option of deviating from federal law if they do not agree with its approach, and the federal government should not have the dominant power to override the decisions that local governments make on such issues.
The concerns of local communities are best represented at the local level, where the policies made are more relevant to the people, and reflect each state's particularities. In the current circumstances, the voices of these local communities are falling on deaf ears as the federal government enforces uniform policies in most, if not all social issues.
The Reform Party believes that it is time for federalism and state's rights to be restored in our great nation's social policies.
