Description[?]:
Dear Foreign Minister, Now begins the third round of lobbying for Passage of the ODEN Treaty. ODEN, as you probably know from my previous efforts stands for "Organization of Drug Exporting Nations". You can view the Treaty by following the link below: http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=600 As you are probably already aware, membership in this growing organization allows your nation to join the cartel of drug exporting nations. A large portion of Kalistan's economy is based on the exportation of drugs, both pharmaceuticals and recreational chemicals. Joining the cartel guarantees you trading partners across all of Terra. It also guarentees you preferential pricing which your country will help set. Please do not hesitate to ask us questions about the ODEN Treaty. As the founders of the ODEN cartel, Kalistan prides itself on helping new members get information both about the agreement itself, as well as benefits under the agreement. As soon as we get four more memberstates to join, the Kalistan foreign ministry intends to call a meeting of the seven founding members, to begin setting the international rate on drugs. The reason we are sending this request to you is because our intelligence indicates that your nation already complied with the terms of the treaty, and therefore is eligible for membership. One final word about the ODEN. We in Kalistan believe that recreational drug use is something the government should never regulate. We believe it is a fundamental human right, and is beneficial for our society. Drug use has been one of the many forms of protest against repressive regimes in Kalistan's history. We therefore see drug use as a right that needs to be protected. We encourage your nation to consider this when making the decision to formally ratify this treaty. Do you see it as a right of the people, or do you see it as somethign that needs to be done away with? We hope you consider it the former, and desire to protect that fundamental human right by committing to join this agreement. Thank you for your time, and please do not hesitate to contact our foreign ministry with any questions concerning ODEN. Serenely, Eduardo Chibas, SPoK Minister, Foreign Affairs, Federal Republic of Kalistan |

Message | We are in favor of the drug trade and the legality of drugs, but against this being a governmental issue nor an international treaty signature issue. This should go to deals between businesses. |
Date | 02:16:53, July 18, 2008 CET | From | Dranland First Party (CC) | To | Debating the ODEN |
Message | This is absolutely proposterous. This is organized crime sponsored by actual countries and their governments. Illicit narcotics should be completely outlawed in this country, and anyone found importing them into our country should be severely punished. This legislation is completely and utterly appalling. |
