Bill: Abolition of the Minimum Wage Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Radical Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2609

Description[?]:

The unjustifiable intrusion into the business practice of small businesses that this regulation creates is intolerable, and counter-productive to our ethic towards working towards an entrepreneurial society. With the free reign and unregulated action of the trade union, there is now a bias in our society towards the worker and not the employer which hinders aspiration. By levelling the playing field, the free market is not based on false defences, and will persevere by competition and not regulation.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
