Bill: AFFS 030.2608 Religious School Deregulation

Details

Submitted by[?]: Anti-Federalists of Free Sekowo

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2609

Description[?]:

The government has no right to intervene in religious schooling. Religious schools don't receive public funds, and as an exercise in the separation of church and state, the state should be restrained from placing regulations on non-state entities. It allows for diversity of culture, a broader educational experience, and more specific and effective education for those orthodox minorities who find public education odious, thus allowing for more freedom overall.

Also, due to the nature of these religious schools, and (as the MTPU will agree) as it is the responsibility of the parents to provide education in such matters, unless the school deems it necessary (i.e. an orphanage's school) the schools may choose to provide sexual education, or to choose alternative curricula based on the needs of their students.

MessageThis seems fine, as any higher education institution will have entrance exams which will determine what curriculum a student needs to progress further in their education career.

MessageWhile we are big on parental responsibilty, we do howerver think that sometimes parents overreact a bit, and sexual education is probably one of the major things they over react on.
