Message | While we agree that the industries should be privately owned, having the government bail out a failing business is like producing corporate welfare. We strongly oppose this. If the service the business provides is a vital service, then it wouldn't be failing, unless bigger and better businesses provided them cheaper and more efficiently. That said, this is an improvement over current legislation, but we would like to take it even further. |

Message | The Berosian party obviously have no idea what they are talking about. Let us look at water, for example: potable sources are finite, and have limits beyond which they cannot be pushed. Meanwhile, populations increase, contamination increases, and the risk of disease multiplies, should some form of contamination enter an operating water supply. As such, the cost of producing clean, drinkable water will constantly increase. Vital or otherwise, there is a limit beyond which the price of drinking water will not decline. The ONLY way costs can even be slowed, is by economy of scale - and no Likatonian business has the economies of scale that our government can claim. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
