MessageAnother lame-duck, do-nothing government. We will not accept this government. We, AND the people, will take severe action should this cabinet pass. Prime Minister Williams has given her support to us as well.

MessageHeheh, this is going to be fun to watch. : )

And, I agree with the LP here, this will be a really really lame-duck government, they will not do a single thing.

MessageWe cannot support a government that will neglect its duties. To do so would be criminal.

OOC: This cabinet is obviously going to pass, but if it does, please at least start to be active on the forums, or appoint a deputy minister who is active on the forums.

MessageOOC: I will do it for them. I will take over the government, simple as that. Since they do nothing, we may as well have no government at all.

WFP, they will not be active whatsoever. LLP has NEVER posted a single article in the forums. The Royalists are just the same. They are barely active.

Messageooc: woah, give us the opportunity to be active. We were back in the day when we helped to found the United Kingdoms, and we can be active again. Now, when I rejoined the nation only a matter of days ago, I was enticed by the fact there were eight active parties, and I looked forward to participating in a nation with activity, in which one could settle down to the quiet life of opposition politics. However due to unforseen circumstances, we have been propelled into a situation in which there are only four major parties, and that due to that circumstance we were offered the opportunity to join a government.

Now being a newcomer I am not overly sure of what the current history is of Lodamun, and therefore have a much poorer grasp of current realties that the Liberals, however I shall strive to learn.

MessageOOC: At least yo made ONE post. That's better. Much of my comments were directed at LLP, they are not active whatsoever. I'll be more than glad to help you understand the current history of Lodamun. Basically, the Liberal coalition (me and some others) have held power for a good 40 years or more. Recently, do to the fall of the Liberal coalition, the conservatives have gained a slight advantage. Now, I wouldn't care at all if they were active (LLP) but they are not.

Messageooc: Hmm, we backed the first party to approach us. However we do appear, economically, to be more compatible with the Libertarians. However if, in the future, certain efforts were made, we could consider backing a new coalition.

Messageooc: Hmm what about foreign and defence policy then, most of what is posted in the forum newspaper appears to be domestic or Seldonist related.

MessageOOC: Honestly, I am not looking for your support, I am looking for an active government, a competent one. I don't know you, so I can't judge you but I can certainly judge LLP. Economically, I am on the left (many say socialism but it is not quite that), any other issue, I am on the right (with the exception of abortion). I am what people call a "Reagan Democrat" in the U.S.

Messageooc; The newspaper, on the forum, in the Role Playing area. If you want active and competent government, why not look to build one that has majority support? You have the power to do so, rather than moaning!

MessageOOC: I proposed the cabinet based on political similerities, but honestly how active has past cabinets really been? The PM has been active, but not alot of the other ministers. I was plannign to actively RP the president, but the other positions there is not much use for unless something happen. You know I dislike the PM position.

I can nominate a deupty minister, no problem, but if you are just gonna start complaining before the cabinet has even passed, I dont want to be a part of that whole rp thing.

MessageLLP it is possible to combine the positions of HoS and HoG, perhaps the new government could strive to achieve this?

MessageOOC: I am complaining because you never RP. That's the fact. You haven't RP in a LONG time. I can't even remember the last time you did. That's what I am complaining about. Past cabinets have been active. I have used the PM, FA, and Defense Minister quite a lot. How many free trade agreements do we have? Who RP all the terrorist thing? PP, did some Rping with other positions. I complain with facts, you have done NOTHING. I am not RPing a civil war. I don't have time for that right now. As you can see, my protest was a peaceful one.

Majority support does not mean competent. We proved that with the last cabinet (this one passed already).

I will definately oppose any combinations of the Head of State and the Head of Government.

MessageJust let me remind you that I actually did something in government, so don't say that my government was like lame or anything:

Introduced a Environmental Plan, 6 pages word.
Had to deal with foreign issues as PM.
Introduced complain departments as hospitals.

That's just some of it, I always made news etc.
