Message | Mr Speaker, HI&MEM Government should, at the very least, check the identities and entitlement of HI&MEM Subjects before issuing them a legal document that can be as government issued identity, for purposes such as opening bank accounts, as well as international travel. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Why do we fear our citizens to travel? If we think they may be a criminal, then we should check them, there is nothing in this bill that advocates against that, it simply says that there is no requirement of someone innocent to be checked and prodded for moving about on vacation. This isn't a Communist Republic, we are free here now to go where we want to without fear of government watchmen following our every move. I find it hypocritical that the same party for immigrant amnesty would be the most vocal against allowing our own citizens to travel freely. I yield. |

Message | Passports aren't simply travel documents: as our honoured guest well knows, Mr Speaker. A passport is government issued photographic ID, and as such should only be issued when appropriate security checks have taken place. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Those who travel aboard do so with a passport, does that mean they represent their country, on vacation? No, what the floor Covenanters speak of is that they some how become ambassadors because of a passport, that simply isn't true. Ambassadors and student ambassadors further, who have special passports, our lord HIM Phillip I and his representative the Governor-General are all representatives of our state, not our private individuals who leaves the country either on business or pleasure. I'll affirm, this is not a Communist Republic, we shouldn't be watchmen to free citizens who wish to travel aboard. I yield. |

Message | I fear our honoured guest has completely misunderstood me, Mr Speaker. I never claimed that His Imperial and Most Excellent Majesty's Subjects represent the government when travelling abroad, did I? I said that a passport is photographic ID that can be used to open bank accounts, prove one's identity when applying for jobs, &c. As such it is the duty of HI&MEM Government to check the identities and entitlement of those it issues them to. |
