Bill: Arms Manufacturing Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Jakanian Liberal Socialists
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2118
Description[?]:
This bill would place all arms manufacturing and weapon development under control of a government body. While we recognise the freedom of our people to pick and choose professions as they wish, we feel there is a grave conflict of interest involved in allowing large private organisations to profit from warfare, as well as be allowed to trade and develop weapons for potential adversaries and violent states. To prevent this, all arms manufactured in Jakania will henceforth be manufactured publically, for usage by the military in defence of Jakania. |
Proposals

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
