Bill: Sturm und Drang - New World Order 2614
Details
Submitted by[?]: Commonwealth Workers Army
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2615
Description[?]:
More in our ongoing Immeressent omnibus. "This Bill restricts citizenship to Immeressenes (since they are the only people that deserve to have rights), restricts the arming of soldiers to those who are Immeressenes (since they are the only people that can be trusted with weapons) and limits the definition of adulthood to Immeressenes (since denying the Godhood of Immeressen is an obvious sign of immaturity). Further, this Bill calls upon all Likatonians to be issued with mandatory cards affirming their Immeressent credentials, which can be corroborated through a national database of registered religion. We've also taken the opportunity to extend the remit of religion in medicine, calling for all pharmaceuticals to be retired, in favour of a faith based initiative. Immeressen will help those who call upon him. Those that are not healed by Immeressen's touch, must have been apostates and backsliders." --Innocente Immeressen, unveiling the updated New World Order manifesto. St. Vodinsburg, February, 2614. |

Message | Complete trash. This bill is a waste of the Convocation's time. |
Date | 01:09:30, July 31, 2008 CET | From | Commonwealth Workers Army | To | Debating the Sturm und Drang - New World Order 2614 |
Message | Innocente Immeressen issued the following - slightly aghast - statement: "How can Constitutional government be a waste of time? And - that is mostly what this is - a Constitutional bill. Are the Red Tories arguing that our Constitution should be a dead document? Or is this just politics - and they'll support Constitutional amendments, when it suits them?" |

Message | We are implying that the changes held within this bill, are trash. We would die before we let our country fall into this kind of indoctrinated worship of some false idol. |

Message | "We are waiting, then - for the Red Tories to hold true to their word. We're not sure if they intended suicide... but they may not have noticed - Likatonia is ALREADY an Immeressent religious nation. We welcome secular agencies in government, but the people of this nation believe, and they shouldn't be punished by the anti-religious views of a few politicians. We are also unsure of how All-Father Zhelezo can be termed a 'false idol', when he has been clearly established as Divinity Made Manifest, Walking Among Us... for generations. THAT miracle, alone, is assurance of his deity." --Innocente Immeressen, talking to a packed crowd in St Vodinsburg Cathedral. Immeressent News sources are looping the tape of this speech, and the massive ovation from the assembly. |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
