Message | We here in Tukarali have a strong government, who spends quite a lot of money. This is a good thing, however there is the chance that this spending can get out of hand, and money can be wasted. We in the JUP believe it is time for some fat to be trimmed so to speak. We therefore compared our spending as a percentage of GDP against all other nations in the world. The following summarises why we chose cuts to be made in the areas we did: Ministry: Current spending (world average) MFA: 1.57% (0.22%) MDef: 4.83% (3.2%) MJus: 2.78% (0.71%) MIT: 4.47% (0.97%) MST: 2.65% (0.99%) Now of course we are not other countries. Tukarali has unique circumstances, which is why we chose to leave the MET alone, even though it is funded much higher than the world average (indeed, our MET is one of the largest in the world). However, comparing our funding against other countries is useful for relative comparisons. We believe other parties here should agree. |

Message | Money is always wasted regardless of how much is being spent on something. |

Message | We were suggesting that money is lost to unnecessary programmes, rather than through administration and inefficiencies. Reducing funding wouldn't affect the latter. |

Message | No, we should not cut back on Foreign Affairs, it's an important department. Neither does Justice or Science deserve cuts. Defense could use cut.. when did their budget get this high? |

Message | All the departments are important, some are just relatively overfunded. Should we be spending more on science than on internal affairs and finance combined, for instance? |

Message | No, you disagree with the JUP, there is a difference. You disagree with us on principle. We are currently spending too much, it is a drain on our economy. We need to make cuts somewhere. |

Message | LOL... No idea what you're talking about... You complain about high taxes, and yet you complain when we cut spending in order to reduce taxes. You can't have it both ways, Liberty Kitty Party. |
