Bill: Imperial Nomenclature Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kanjoran Imperial Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2118

Description[?]:

Now that my Empire Act has passed, we are officially a monarchy. The definition of a Republic is that there is no monarch. We must a) change the name of our country, and b) change the name of the head of state

If this bill passes, the Kanjor Republic will be renamed as the "Kanjoran Empire"

MessageWe will vote for this, so long as Alan Reynolds isn't named emperor or anything, as we agreed as part of a deal to support a monarchy that the NPP prized enough to make a deal with us to support, and since the monarchy will now pass, a monarchy cannot be ruled by a "President."

MessageKanjori Empire doesn't sound good. Too much acidity in the name.

Neither does the word that comes after Emperor. Is that a name for the Emperor? I think a better one can be had.

But I'd be ok with Imperial Senate.

MessageYeah, he didn't know that Wouter manually names the Emperor (at our request for a name). I don't know how it works until we give him a name.

His first choice was Valerian and he gave me a list of alternatives, and I liked Valerian the best of the list. It should be Valerian I though, as monarchs have numbers after their names.

MessageYeah, i told wouter to make it Valerian once this bill pases.

Should the name be "The Empire of Kanjor"
or should be break the normal naming system and call it "The Kanjoran Empire"

MessageActually, while we're at it, couldn't it be called "The Roman Empire"

MessageI don't think they'd allow to change the country's basic name from Kanjor (especially to a real life name) and I wouldn't want that anyway.

Random fact: "Kubrk" is a Jelbic word that has the colloquial meaning "old man" or "geezer".

Random quote: "The main problem of the left is that it has been traditionally divided and unable to reach agreements between different leftist views, whilst the right has almost always moved in the same direction by giving concessions to different rightist points of view." - Aelius Celer, former Selucian politician
