Bill: Elimination of the Federal Income Tax
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2618
Description[?]:
We are proposing to eliminate the federal income tax and replace it with a small sales tax. This will help people save more money, because they will be able to decide when they spend their money, instead of having the government take it automatically. It will especially help the poor as they will have the oppurtunity to save their money, and more of it, because the government will not be automatically taking it from their from their pay. It will also increase purchasing power and the drop the price of comsumer products, because the federal taxes paid by producer's and suppliers, will not be passed on to and paid by the consumer, allowing for cheaper goods, and the saving of more money. |

Message | We highly don't believe in the sales tax on essential goods, but will allow it to be rid [finally] of the disgusting income tax. |

Message | We can agree to this - the Reform Party has never supported the concept of a federal income tax, and no such right is instated to the federal government in our constitution. We do, however, believe that states should have the capacity to craft income tax policies for themselves individually, for the funding of their own local services. Whilst we support this legislation, we would like state governments to retain the right to raise revenue from an income tax if this is what they, and the local communities and families that they represent, see fit. Do the TCP agree with such a policy? |

Message | Yes, we agree that local or state governments should be able make their own income tax policies for the funding of local service's. If the people of a local community want to raise revenue in their specific area, it is thier business. But we don't support a federal income tax. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
