Message | Yes, who cares about whether kids can eat. |

Message | Their parents should work hard to provide for them like the rest of us do. Our government should not put a crutch on its own people. What kind of message is this sending the kids? Don't work, make money? No thanks. We should be in the business of producing productive members of society, not freeloaders. |

Message | And what of the people that cannot feed their children through legitimate means, and would not be given any help from the government? They'll turn to crime. We'll have people in the streets unable to put a roof over their head; we'll have the elderly left homeless because they are physically unable to work; we'll have children not being fed or clothed. Is this the kind of society you want to live in? |

Message | If we had the strong economy that this nation deserves, if business and industry were loosened from the grip of this psuedo-communism then maybe there would always be legitimate means to provide for one's family. There are no excuses for pure ineptitude. |

Message | We do have a strong economy, but even some people can be left behind through no fault of their own. That is why we have the state providing a safety net. |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
