Bill: A Call for Freedom

Details

Submitted by[?]: Berosian Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2620

Description[?]:

"Our citizens are smart, they are responsible, and they don't need their government breathing down their neck, telling them whats good for them and that they're going to like it.

Our citizens will not learn to do as we tell them; we shall learn to do as our citizens tell us. Our nation of democracy and freedom is no more. It is now a nation of oppression, totalitarianism, and distrust. A nation is not free without the trust of the people and the government. We must trust that our citizens know what is best for them. We must trust that they are not all criminals, and that those who are are very few in number. We must trust that our citizens know when a regime is failing. And we must trust that our citizens know when to remove that regime.

This is a call for freedom, a call for justice, a call for democracy."

Leader of the Berosian Party

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left.

Random quote: "I bet their mothers don't love them. Many Trigunian women are so cold. I mean it's a racist hellhole in parts." - Tirza Sommer, former Dorvish politician
