Message | We take issue with certain articles in this bill. Article II which charges private companies with maintaining the power grid is unacceptable to us. The national power grid is absolutely essential to optimally functioning business and properly functioning homes. If done on a for-profit basis, not only will business and private citizen alike end up being gouged, but private companies are liable to cut corners in order to perform the job at minimal cost. Article III would give local governments the ability to interfere with the free market by allowing them to encourage or ban nuclear power. Just as we would not sanction this type of interference from the national government, nor do we support it at the local level. Daunte Woodson Chairman Democratic Capitalist Delegation |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
