MessageWhy cut Defense again? Our troops are underfunded, still, and you want to cut it more. It is a disgrace to our troops and our country. The Foreing Affairs Ministry has more than enough funds already, it does not need any more funds.

Messageactually funding numbers have gone up in recent years because every time the opposition manages to cut it closer to a acceptable level the Liberals work a return to the previous levels into the budget. Surely the government acknowledges that the current funding levels for foreign affairs were set before our nation expanded its foreign aid program, and has room for a increase amid their astronomical income tax increases?

We question if the budgets proposed by the Liberal party are in fact in the interests of the governing coalition, as several of their members have supported the oppositions cuts to defense. This shadow budget asks them to consider who's budget in fact forwards their agenda.

MessageIt is called compromise, something you don't seem to understand. The Defense Buget has always been set between 47-55 billion LOD and we have worked very hard to get all of the Defense Ministries finances in place for tha kind of funding. Any Defense Budget with less than 47 billion LOD threatens our securit because it will force us to cut troops and funds forour defense systems. The current level of fnding was set when we had similar levels of aid as we have now, so, an increase is not needed.

MessageWe believe that funding should not be higher than 40 billion LOD, and the military should downsized and reformed into a more professional defense oriented force. we believe that the surplus from this defense cut can be used to increase our foreign affairs funds to encourage new relationships and allies. This has been the guiding light of our policies, and we hope that other parties in Lodamun might see the wisdom in our approach. We have opposed the endless tax increases of this government, but if taxes are going to be increased they should be spent on more worthwhile things than posting troops on the boarder for instance.

We also kindly ask the Liberal leadership to refrain from using this debate to insult the opposition. We have stated our continued willingness to work with the government on an acceptable budget to all parties, and insults do nothing to help us get there.

MessageWe are merely stating the truth, the Lodamun Christian Democratic Party does not care about the security of our country. Our military is a defense oriented force, we do not have conscription, we do not have more than 2 million active soldiers.

"We have opposed the endless tax increases of this government, but if taxes are going to be increased they should be spent on more worthwhile things than posting troops on the boarder for instance."

National security is not worthless. That statement proves mor and more our statement, the LCDP does not care about our national security.

Our party has worked for many years to ensure our security is at its maximum. This is not an acceptable budget.
