J. Edgar Clay is hereby charged with treason, but may continue his duties as a legislator in the National Assembly while he awaits trial in his jail cell.

Whereas, J Edgar Clay proposed a resolution demanding that the Monarch stand down and face the persecution of a trial; and,

Whereas, J Edgar Clay proposed in the same resolution that nobles of Jelbania be stripped of their titles and be tarred and feathered; and,

Whereas, J. Edgar Clay did not submit to the authority of the crown while as Governor General between 2617-2622; and,

Whereas, J Edgar Clay has made numerous statements against the Crown's status in Jelbania.

Therefore, the National Assembly shall hereby put J. Edgar Clay on trial for treason. If he is convicted by a jury selected among his peers, he shall be permanently excluded from the Cabinet and shall remain in prison for the rest of his days.

The Supreme Court of Jelbania awaits J. Edgar's plea. If he does not make a plea before the passing of this resolution it will be assumed that he will plead not guilty. If he were to plead guilty, the government may offer a more lenient punishment.

This resolution requires majority approval. If the resolution passes J. Edgar Clay will be formerly charged. If this resolution fails all charges will be dropped.

Random fact: Moderation will not approve a Cultural Protocol request within the first 48 hours of it being requested. This is in order to give other players a chance to query the proposed changes, if they wish to do so. Moderation may be approached for advice on a proposed change, but any advice proffered should always be understood under the provisio that no final decision will be made until at least 48 hours after the request has been formally submitted for approval.
