Bill: Uniting East and West (GLRes042622)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Likaton Coalition of the Willing

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2622

Description[?]:

For too long now, the Tribes of Greater Likatonia have been divided. It is time to end that, and we propose to do this through a series of Resolutions.

By supporting this motion, we declare:

That 'Keymon' and 'Meria' are in fact two halves of the same Likaton nation.

That they should be re-united, as either Likaton Keymon, or as Eastern and Western Meria

That Likatonia shall use whatever means are necessary to arrange this, although a military solution shall remain a very last resort.

That the four remaining prefectures of Central Likatonia be given greater autonomy, ahead of future unification Acts.

With these resolutions in mind, we also add the following proposals:

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.

Random quote: "Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages." - Thomas A. Edison
