Bill: Nuclear Power Act 2623

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lodamun National Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2623

Description[?]:

This bill will make nuclear power illegal and Lodamun a better place to live on a number of grounds:

1. Nuclear power is costly to build and with cheaper fuels, Lodamun will have extra funds to fund areas such as education and health;
2. Even the most safe nuclear plants aren't safe, as one failure in maintenance could cause a meltdown, devastating this country;
3. There is no secure, risk free way to store nuclear waste and so is an extreme risk to the health of the nation

MessageNuclear power provides almost 35% of our power. We have given a lot of subsidies in order to achieve the level of technology we currently have. Eliminating this would be very costly for us. Too expensive forus to even consider.
