Details
Submitted by[?]: Imperium Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2625
Description[?]:
"The Imperium Party is proposing that all defence industries in Rutania be controlled by the government with immediate effect and close down the private companies which fail to co-operate. This would ensure that there are no corrupt private companies manufacturing weapons and recruiting soldiers to fight for their cause. Rutanians will feel more safer when they know that we (the government) are in control of these industries. No private defence industry will be suppying weapons to terrorists or any other corrupt/crime organisation once the government are in control." Jason Saynol Minister of Defence |

Proposal[?] to change The nation's defence industry.
Old value:: Defence industries are privately owned and not subsidised.

Message | "Mr Saynol, considering the danger of selling weapons to the terrorist, we already have a law which says that every sale is approved or rejected on case-by-case basis. So, you, as Minister of Defence, already have insight in arms sales in our country. Why do you need nationalisation of defence industry for then?" Message | I think goes too far although we would support a less extreme change to this policy. |
Date | 21:21:17, August 20, 2008 CET | From | Socialist League for a new society | To | Debating the Nationalize Rutania's Defence Industries Bill 2624 |
Message | Nationalization of main sectors of economy is for us of the Socialist League, one of the main goals in this historical stage, so we will support this proposal. However also the anti-militarist struggle is an important theme for us. So in the future the Socialist League will ask for a reduction of weapons production. And what about terrorism? True terrorists according to us are the monarchist and authoritarian government trough Terra, so we will support people struggling against them asking for a facilitation of weapons purchasing to factions and parties fighting against authoritarian and monarchist governments. |

Message | RDF will strongly oppose every such attempt of Rutania involvement into foreign nations' internal affairs. |

Message | The LibSoc members of Congress should be censured for their threats of foreign intervention, Mr Speaker! We are sure that most of the parties in our great Commonwealth want nothing more than friendly cooperation, trade and relations with our neighbours and we will be steadfast in opposing foreign acts where we are not threatened. |
