Bill: Privatisation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Radical Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2625
Description[?]:
While for ideological reasons, many of the parties have now attached themselves to a commitment to large nationalised economic programmes, which while in the short-term may heal the widening wealth gap between rich and poor, fails to understand the long-term stagnation and devaluation to the market such socialistic policies can bring. We must recommit ourselves to a private market, which will bring lasting economic fortune and security. John Giles Shadow Finance Minister |

Message | We could support Article I, but cannot support Articles II and III. If energy is to be provided by private, unregulated companies (as we believe it should be), it should be accompanied with subsidies for those who cannot afford the costs of having power and still adequately subsist. Also, an unregulated stock market can create great booms of commerce and wealth, but is also very dangerous, liable to crash at any moment under the weight of questionable trading practices and shady dealings.
